PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Welcome to the 128th year of the Yorkton Exhibition Association. 2011 continues the legacy of a dedicated group of volunteers promoting agriculture and family entertainment in our community. Bringing friends and family together, providing family entertainment, promoting education and showcasing agriculture in our community and the parkland is what our board is all about.

Our board and committees are busy working on events and projects throughout the year to make our events fun, enjoyable and educational. The year starts off with the All Breed Bull Sale, next a partnership with Yorkton Lion’s at Spring Expo, the ever popular Summer Fair, Yorkton Dodge CPCA Chuck wagons, extending the season for the Yorkton Toyota Standard Bred Harness Racing ( a great family Friday evening), Grain Miller’s Harvest Showdown ending the year with a partnership for the Santa Claus Parade. This summer look forward to the return of the Tractor Pulls.

YEA board relies on volunteers to help with events. Our need for volunteers is never ending; if you have some time to help us out we would be glad to talk to you. We support local groups who require fundraising for their events, in the past we have worked with local school groups, bands, and minor sports teams.

On behalf of the board of director’s and myself, I would like to thank our sponsors and partners in the community. They are key components in making the Yorkton Exhibition the hub of community events in the parkland. You are the reason we have the volunteers, and support to build on events and promote family entertainment and agriculture in the community and parkland.
